Roko is a galgo from Spain. He just recently made his big adventure over to the United States in May. He is quickly learning what life is like to be a loving companion. Roko is a warm, snuggly, affectionate boy, who loves to be with his people. He is currently living with 2 other greyhounds and 2 teenagers. The loud noises of the teenagers do not bother him. Roko is very playful and loves squeaky toys. He crates well at night, sleeps until we feed him in the morning. Roko has no problems with the floors he walks on, in fact, he seems to like sliding on the linoleum kitchen floor and will stretch his front legs out so he can slide a little. He has a very fun personality that his foster family enjoys. Roko would be happiest in a home without cats. He walks well on leash, but those pesky squirrels he encounters on his walks sure can be distracting! Roko is a very happy boy and would make a great companion. Galgos require a commitment to leash walk or a 6ft + fence in their adoptive home. Galgos are known for their jumping and climbing abilities and it is possible that even a 6ft fence may not be secure for them. Each galgo is different in that respect and requires individual evaluation. If you’d like to learn more about adding this happy boy to your family, contact our adoption coordinators.
