Porthos is a sweet and well-mannered 4-year-old male galgo. While he is large in size, he is not overwhelming in the slightest. He is fantastic with his foster home’s cats, and blends into the pack with their other dogs. He would be an amazing addition to a house with an existing dog – in fact, he would probably prefer it as he has taken his cues from his fellow dogs. His foster family is working on socializing him, but it is hard since he isn’t really sure who to trust. They say he is really trying! He is attached to Foster Mom, and will take treats right from her hand, but that took a while. He is quite the gentleman on walks, but prefers to keep distance from passersby. Porthos loves walks and never pulls, so don’t let his size fool you. His foster family says, “We just love him! He is so sweet and just wants to feel safe. He will need someone who is patient and willing to give him time. Once you do, we guarantee you will not regret it! Watching him overcome fears is incredible.”
