Miles came to AG as a stray that was found abandoned in a ditch on a rural country road. He is believed to be a lurcher (sighthound mixed with a working dog) based on the area in which he was found. While we are unsure of his breed, his cuteness is undeniable!
Miles is believed to be 6-8 months old and has definitely read the puppy handbook. He is a smart boy and has learned stairs, how to walk on a leash, the “sit” command, and that a kennel is a safe place all in his first week living in a home. He has had exposure to a cat in a temporary home before coming to AG and did well. At his age, he is very trainable. He shares his foster home with three children, a medium sized dog, and a sight hound and is doing well with everyone.
Since Miles is a puppy and learning what it means to live in a house, he is still working on potty training but learning quickly. Miles sleeps through the night in his kennel with his canine foster siblings and foster parents in the bedroom. He also does well kenneled during the work day. Everything is brand new to Miles so he’s a little nervous with new experiences and meeting new people. Miles is learning what toys are all about and his favorite is the tennis ball. Each day he is gaining more confidence! Miles loves to be near his foster family and once he gets to know you, he is a cuddler.
Miles would love to find a home that will help him continue to learn house manners. He still has so much to learn!
