Hermes is a six-year-old galgo who came to the US from Scooby Medina shelter in Spain, and he has been patiently waiting for his future adopter to notice him. Hermes gets along well with other dogs, especially those his own size. He lived in a kennel with three other dogs in Spain, and here in Indiana, he has had up to seven canine siblings in his foster home (mostly greyhounds and galgos, along with a Weimaraner)!
Foster Mom Erin says Hermes is just an all-around good dog: quiet, sweet, and friendly, with good leash manners and no housetraining issues. He appreciates spending time with his human family and often follows his foster parents around the house to keep an eye on them. He can be a little cautious around unfamiliar men, but has grown more and more confident the longer he has been in his foster home. Hermes is not afraid of loud noises or storms. He loves playing with toys and snacking on treats, and this laid-back boy also enjoys calmly going for boat rides on the lake, too!
If you’re looking for the perfect companion for just about any family, Hermes is eager to be your dog! Hermes should go to a home without cats or very small dogs.
