Fendt is a galgo from Spain. He just recently made his big adventure over to the United States in May. Fendt is living with other greyhounds, cats, as well as a small terrier mix. Fendt walks well on leash and does not have any trouble with stairs. He hasn’t quite figured out stuffed toys, but he’s still learning what it is like to have toys of his own! Fendt seems to enjoy the company of the other dogs in his home but he seems to enjoy his people even more. He would likely adapt well to being the only dog in his home. Fendt also lives with young children in his foster home and we believe he would be well suited for a home with children. He is an easy going and calm boy that likes to go with the flow. Fendt is still working on making sure he is quiet in his kennel, but he is making progress in that area. He is slightly timid around men but he will soon learn that his days of dread and fear are long gone and he is living the good life now! Galgos require a commitment to leash walk or a 6ft + fence in their adoptive home. Galgos are known for their jumping and climbing abilities and it is possible that even a 6ft fence may not be secure for them. Each galgo is different in that respect and requires individual evaluation. If you’d like to learn more about adding Fendt to your family, contact our adoption coordinators.
