Say hello to Don! Don’s racing name was Late Bolger, which sounds very British! He’s a retired UK racer and is 4 1/2 years old. Why did this handsome lad retire? His racing owner said that Don simply didn’t enjoy racing anymore, so it was time to find him a comfy couch to enjoy!
Don is a laid-back guy who loves attention and enjoys a “good fuss”, according to his friends at Romford Retired Greyhounds. That means he particularly enjoys being petted and loved on, and will appreciate an affectionate adopter
This sweetheart walks well on leash, and even when enjoying playtime in a fenced yard, he prefers to stay by your side than run around. Don has a playful streak with toys, and can sometimes be a little too enthusiastic with them to the point that they don’t last quite as long as you hope!
He has been wonderful around a toddler at the kennel, and has shown himself to be calm and patient. Don would thrive in a home that will give him plenty of affection and take him for leisurely walks! He has not been cat tested, but based on initial testing, he should not live with small dogs – which likely means no cats, either. We will update once he has been further tested!
Don arrives September 17, but you can submit an application today!
Adoption Fee: $750
