Blaze, also known as Apache Blaze, is a 3 ½-year-old retired racing greyhound who came to American Greyhound from Romford Retired Greyhounds in the UK. He is a handsome white and blue boy, and on the smaller side for a male, weighing in at 72.8 pounds at his last check. Blaze retired in November 2024 due to a hip injury, but has since healed up and is ready for some zoomies in a yard of his own!
This sweet boy is a sensitive soul with a big heart. He can be a little shy when meeting new people and tends to warm up faster to women, but once he trusts you, he’s an absolute sweetheart. Kennel staff describe him as “the nicest, gentlest, and most funny dog”.
Blaze LOVE walks, but can pull on the leash at times because he is so excited to be taking a walk with you! He also enjoys running around the yard. Blaze has been fine around smaller dogs with supervision so far, and has spent time around a young child as well, though he’ll need patience while he builds confidence with new people regardless of their age. He has not yet been cat tested.
If you’re looking for a kind companion who will blossom with love and reassurance, Blaze might be the one for you. He arrives September 17, but you can submit an application today!
Adoption Fee: $750
