Meet Rex, a 3 1/2 year old retired racing greyhound! He joined American Greyhound on Sept 3 from Romford Retired Greyhounds in the UK. Rex raced under the name Innfield Rex, and retired in June after an injury to his paw. He is all healed up after a short rest, and ready to find his forever home!
Rex LOVES walks and can be strong on the leash at first, just because he is so excited to be out for a walk with you! However, he settles down quickly and then can enjoy a more leisurely stroll.
He is great with kids, and loves the attention from people of all ages. He would be great in a family home, and would thrive under lots of affections from his adopters!
Rex will turn four on January 22. He is a big boy, at 83.8 pounds, but he is a gentle giant and has no issues with even very small children. He has not yet been tested with cats or small dogs, so his profile will be updated once we know more!
