Tiger (Star Tiger) is a retired racing greyhound from the UK who arrived to the US on May 1! Tiger is a big boy at around 84 lbs, but the kennel staff describe him as “a gentle giant”. He is also TALL – he doesn’t need to stretch to reach the kitchen counter. His kennel staff in the UK described him as calm and someone who absolutely loves his cuddles. He walks quickly due to his long legs, but behaves well on a leash.
He gets along very well with other greyhounds, although he has not yet been cat tested. Based on initial interactions in his foster home, we think he should likely go to a home without small dogs or cats. Like all of the boys who arrived on May 1, Tiger is 4 1/2 years old, with his birthday falling on October 20. He retired from racing in January after 64 races following an injury in which he tore ligaments in his wrist. He is all healed up and ready to begin the next chapter of his life in the US!
