your arm or leg and just takes it all in. She is learning how to do stairs. She is
a good eater and gets along well with our greyhound and boston terrier. She

Cat Safe!
Hi my name is Wayne and I'm 2 years old. I love to play with toys when I'm inside and I love to run
and play fetch when I'm outside! My foster parents say that I am all the playfulness of a puppy, with
the good behavior and obedience of an adult. When I first came off the track I didn't like being in my
crate at all! I would bark and whine until someone would give me attention, and when they tried to
put me in I would run away. My foster parents and I worked really hard, and now I'm very good
about going into my crate and being quiet and obedient the whole time. I love spending time with my
foster parents and my greyt foster sibling! I love meeting new people and dogs, but I don't get along
with cats very well! If you're looking for a friend who is playful, but also house-trained and obedient,
then I could be a greyt fit for you!

Justin is a little timid and shy first when meeting new people, but once he gets to know you
he is quite the affectionate guy, who loves to be hugged and enjoys a good ear rub. He is
doing well in training and knows already most of his commands. He gets a little scared of
noises or sudden movements, but is very easily calmed and reassured that everything is
okay. He loves his teeth brushed, but was a little water shy when he got his bath. His
handlers say he is a very loyal dog and will make somebody a wonderful companion.
American Greyhound has partnered with "2nd Chance at Life", a prison foster program for retired racing
greyhounds. 2nd Chance at Life (SCAL) places retired racers, directly off the track, into their prison foster
program for obedience training and socialization. They receive ten weeks of training from two inmate
caretakers and leave as good canine citizens.
SCAL greys require a $300 adoption fee to support the program.

What can I say, retirement is awesome!! I love being around people. They are always rubbing my
ears and giving me treats! I have all kinds of comfy beds to choose from, but sometimes I just like to
stay in my kennel and relax. I love cow hooves and I just realized how much fun squeaky toys are!! I
will carry them all through the house squeaking away! I like going on walks and my foster mom is
always telling me I am a good walker because I stay right by her side. She also tells me I'm a good
car rider, and I love going for rides! I am adjusting to retired life wonderfully, but I would love to find
a forever family to enjoy it with. I'm a big boy with a big heart and lots of love to give. Can I share my
love with you?
